The Outreach Team is committed to the belief that as a non-profit agency we are partners with our community and its agencies to improve the quality of life for all. Of course, our primary goal centers on identifying and offering services to persons who need support at the end of life. Through relationships with physicians, nursing homes and other care providers, we provide important resources to all who serve patients facing end-of-life issues.
Educational opportunities are available through our Outreach team to healthcare providers, churches and community agencies that would like to know more about hospice and palliative care services. We also offer education and support regarding grief and loss, care-giver burnout and spirituality.
The cooperative relations we have created with various agencies and facilities allow us to contribute to the health and well-being of our community beyond the limits of hospice care. For example, our Outreach Team leads Bible Study, Art Class, Bingo and other activities in nursing homes, assisted living facilities and senior centers across Mitchell, Avery and Yancey counties.
Spirituality lies at the heart of all that Hospice represents. Our churches provide valuable insight to the needs of their communities. We welcome the opportunity to visit your church. A member of our outreach team would be happy to schedule a time to speak with your congregation.
Our Outreach team is committed to the belief that we are stronger when we stand together. We embrace the best qualities of what it genuinely means to be community. We are here to serve in whatever capacity we can for the good of all.
